What is the difference between a good education and an excellent education? Quite simply, the margin of excellence provided by community support.
The DeKalb Education Foundation was founded in 1987 by a group of concerned community volunteers. The Foundation has provided well over $400,000 in direct support to the DeKalb School District #428, enriching the learning experiences of thousands of our kids.
Large or small, your gifts make a difference. You know a child whose learning has been enriched by the DeKalb Education Foundation. Foundation grants have provided enhanced programs at virtually every public school in DeKalb, Cortland, and Malta at every grade level. Through grassroots, citizen support, children in elementary, middle, junior high and high school classrooms throughout the district enjoy a better learning environment.
There are three Grant periods each funding year: October, February, and May. Grant applications must be received on or prior to 5:00 p.m. on the last Friday of the preceeding month for each funding period.
