Tim Strohecker and Kelli Gerace, P.E. teachers at Malta received a DEF grant to purchase National Fishing in Schools Program curriculum and equipment.
DEF awarded nine grants totaling $9,108.70 to teachers and classrooms in #428 schools on February 23, 2023.
Teachers wrote grants for educational supplies that will enhance learning experiences for our students. Awarding these grants was possible because of the generous support of the DeKalb community. Thanks to everyone who supports DEF throughout the year.
Venika Goode, Pre-K teacher at ELDC, received funds for large motor equipment for early childhood classrooms.
Mario Hueramo, Social Worker at Huntley, received funds for a Calm Down Corner Classroom Kit to support students in identifying, embracing and managing their emotions.
