All kindergarteners in D428 will go on a field trip to Russell Woods this spring — thanks to a grant written by Tyler kindergarten teachers Stephanie Jorzak, MaryAnn Grutza and Instructional Coach Denise Fleming.
DEF awarded Seventeen grants totaling: $20,260.65 to teachers and classrooms in D428 schools on February 29, 2024.
Teachers wrote grants for educational supplies that will enhance learning experiences for our students. Awarding these grants was possible because of the generous support of the DeKalb community. Thanks to everyone who supports DEF throughout the year.
Ali Henry (PE teacher) received funds to purchase a volleyball system to enhance physical education activities at Huntley Middle School.
Amanda McCabe (Reading Specialist) and Lois Miller (Librarian) will be purchasing materials to help students learn about the more than twenty countries represented at Jefferson.
